Welcome to “Translating Workflows to Airtable”. In this course we’ll introduce you to workflow mapping and show you an example of an Airtable app built according to a workflow map. We’ll define a workflow as used by Airtable and give you an example of a workflow for an IT department with steps and swimlanes for stakeholders. We’ll demonstrate that you can build separate interfaces for different stakeholders with pages specifically designed to serve steps in the workflow and we’ll show how automations can help keep everybody on track. Having a clear idea of how an Airtable app, that is built according to a workflow, looks and functions will give you a good foundation for understanding how Airtable serves end users and brings efficiency to workflows.
